I said a change was coming, and here it is!

Lesley Lifting Life just grew up. 

It’s been in the works in my mind for quite some time now, but I was always a tad scared to make the leap.  I wanted it to be just right, something that actually captured my blog, and a decision that wasn’t made too quickly.

That being said … here it is.  Good bye, Lesley Lifting Life. Say hello to:

Things are staying the same around here, just with a different name and URL.  It’ll take me a little time to update everything,  but The Purple Carrot is here to stay!  Although purplecarrotkc.com is in order, the URL at the top still says lesleyliftinglife.com.  That will be changing very soon as well!

Why The Purple Carrot?

Over the past year or so, my blog niche and passion has really been uncovered, and Lesley Lifting Life really wasn’t suiting it. Thus, The Purple Carrot was born. Carrots in their most natural state are purple, after all! 

Just as Lesley Lifting was, The Purple Carrot is still all about these key things:

• We’re dedicated to quality sustainable foods, both local and organic. 
• Cooking up easy, delicious, & healthy food is done often together, and always enjoyed!
• As a Kansas City based blog, we love bragging about all the neat things happening in KC, both in the local food scene, and outside of it.

Where the Art of Real Food Grows!

At The Purple Carrot, our aim is to be “where the art of real food grows”.

We live in a prepackaged, fast-paced world where food is not so much a thing of art but instead it’s plagued by a cheap convenience.

Here at The Purple Carrot, we love taking fresh, natural food that’s already beautiful and making it into something tasty! To us, this is definitely a fun and delicious form of art.
