Hey, hey!
So remember how there was going to be an exciting ending to Lifting and Clean Eating Series I just did that you're probably all sick of hearing about by now? Well ... here it is, the exciting ending.
I loved sharing my journey of how I got from not caring what I ate and never working out to eating clean and working out regularly and my hope is that it will inspire and help others.
So, since I love both Oxygen Magazine and Clean Eating Magazine and since they've been such a help to me, I'd like to give away a one year subscription of one of either magazine. The winner will get to chose which magazine they'd prefer. (Sadly enough, I haven't even gotten myself a subscription to Oxygen yet, I've just been buying it every month at the store ... I could be saving a lot of money, :s ! I'll have to do that.)
Do you have a fitness/eating clean story?? I'd love to hear about it! (I may even share it with in another post if you don't mind).
To enter the giveaway:
-leave a comment briefly telling me your fitness and/or eating clean story and if you don't have one ...
-leave a comment telling me which magazine you would like best
-or just leave a comment : )
*if you don't have a blog, leave an "Anonymous" comment with your name or some way of identifying you in the comment
And like usual, if you'd like to entered more than once, leave an extra comment if you are a subscriber, link this giveaway to your blog, or if you follow me on twitter.
Good luck!! I'll leave this open until next Friday, August 21st at 3:00 p.m., Central Time, in which the winner will be chosen at random using random.org : )
What a cool give away! I've been interested in that Clean Eating magazine since I saw you mention it.
ReplyDeleteWell, you know my story has everything to do with living abroad. Being away from a lot of the foods that used to tempt me in the US has really helped me clean up my eating. No more packaged meals, kits, or frozen meals. No more sodas, regular or diet. Pretty much everything I make is from scratch because it has to be - beans, desserts, etc. and breads either come directly from the bakery or I make them myself. It has been a challenging, but incredibly healthy experience and I want to stick with these habits when we return to the States.
Can't wait to read the other stories!!
Oh cool! I adore magazines.
ReplyDeleteYou know I once had an eating disorder. Well, I say once because I would like to say I am on my path to total recovery. I have formed a much better relationship with food, and I now view food as a gift from God, a blessing, and a source of nourishment. I love clean eating because that's the way God actually made food to be: wholesome, healthful, and mighty tasty!
p.s. I'd LOVE the Clean-EAting magazine! :-)
ReplyDeleteow so fun! I'd love a subscription to Clean Eating! As I've told you, I went on a clean eating challenge as well. When it was over....I didn't want to stop! I now eat 85-90% clean and LOVE it. My body functions and feels so much better!

ReplyDeleteBest givaway ever- I'm so intrigued by Clean Eating, since I've never read it! As for my fitness story, I started running seriously a year ago and am now training for my first marathon!
ReplyDeleteBoth of those magazines look amazing!
ReplyDeleteI have always had an interest in nutrition and clean eating, but I'm about to embark on a different kind of clean eating challenge. ;) I'm trying to get my new blog up and running so I can start both at the same time. :)
My clean eating story began after my freshman year of college. Towards the end of my freshman year, a bunch of us took a beach trip. When I looked at the pictures and saw how I looked in a bathing suit, I was extremely unhappy. I knew I had to change the ways I ate. I am very very happy with where I am now in terms of eating/exercising. There is still room for improvement, but I am only human if I slip up every once and a while.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I would love a subscription to clean eating!
and I'm a subscriber. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love a subscription to clean eating!
ReplyDeleteI have bounced through a diet high in processed healthy and unhealthy foods, a diet high in processed "diet" foods and a vegan diet. I have now settled into a mostly vegetarian, clean, mostly unprocessed whole foods diet. I love clean eating magazine! I just bought a copy yesterday!
ReplyDeleteooh, clean eating!! my friend just started getting it, and i'm jealous ;)
ReplyDeleteA free magazine subscribtion? Yes, please :)
ReplyDeleteI'm currently losing weight, and I'd really love Clean Eating!!

I love Clean Eating! My fitness story is pretty simple and a lot like yours. Basically I went through diet phases that never worked and then I started blogging and eating whole foods and working out at a fantastic gym and am the smallest I've ever been!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the rushed story! I'm about to leave for work but got super excited about the giveaway and had to post!
I wld love a subscription to clean eating! I don't have a story but am really interested in learning more.
ReplyDeleteLinking you back to my next post!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE the Clean Eating magazing! I'm not very creative when it comes to food ideas....I get caught in ruts so often. I bet that has some great ideas!
ReplyDeleteI don't really have an eating/fitness story! Just that I like to cook, so I share my recipes on my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteClean Eating is right up my alley! That's exactly what I've been trying to do--get rid of unnecessary ingredients in what I eat. It's actually very liberating! I can enjoy delicious foods in unmeasured quantities because it's high quality and good for me. :)
ReplyDeleteRe: the beef in your last post, it's nice that it was organic but corn is still not cow food! They're supposed to be grass-fed. The meat industry just wanted to make it seem less expensive to you! Harumph, right??
I try to eat clean most of the time. I am a veggie and avoid fast food, chains, and most processed foods. I do like cereal, but I use it as a treat:) I eat oats for breakfast everyday. I also try to buy local produce! Of course I splurge and enjoy treats now and then but I try to keep a healthy balance!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE both of these magazines!! I don't have a subscription to either... but would love the chance to have either of them! :)
ReplyDeleteTen years ago, I weighed 237 pounds... I went through many different "diets" trying to lose weight. Throughout those diets... I lost weight, gained weight, lost weight...I finally found my way to a better way of eating - healthy, nutritious food - not processed, junk! I lost 100 pounds! I gained some weight back during my pregnancy four years ago... but thankfully, clean eating has a way of whipping your body back into shape :) I also found a great work out program that combines weight lifting & cardio - I've been doing it for six years and STILL love it! They had my husband and I in their most recent infomercial as success stories!
i love clean eating! i get to read it through work but having it arrive at my door would be even better :)
ReplyDeleteoh, great give away! I would love the clean eating magazine. I have yet to see this one around.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read that magazine!
ReplyDeleteI started yoga 4 years ago and fell in love. I used to run like crazy but now i stick with yoga/pilates daily.
Clean Magazine sounds wonderful! I've heard so much about it.
ReplyDeleteI try to get in any kind of fitness. I love staying active through walking, biking, shopping(!), yoga, wall climbing, golfing, running, and dancing.
I love fresh fruits and vegetables<3
I would love a subscription to clean eating. I am learning to eat healthy and eat the foods that God created us to eat instead of all the peocessed stuff out there. Needing to learn more.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveaway! I discovered Clean Eating magazine earlier this year and fell in love, but unfortunately I have just read the one issue I bought because I can't find it where I live! I'd love to win a subscription for my CA home!

I would love to read the Clean Eating Magazine. I see you read it all the time and always want to pick up a copy but seem to forget about it.
ReplyDeleteI have been eating healthy and working out daily for about 4 years and love every moment of this healthy lifestyle. The blog world has definitely been a wonderful inspiration for this as well.
I'm also a subscriber!!
ReplyDeleteI would love a subscription to Oxygen magazine. I think I've read it maybe once at the gym and would love to get it every month!! Cool giveaway, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would really love a subscription to Clean Eating! :D
ReplyDeleteMy story: Oddly enough the thing that opened my eyes to clean eating was the first time I made a pizza using simple, fresh ingredients. There were only 4 ingredients, but my bf and I were absolutely amazed at what a difference it made taste-wide to simply use fresh and healthy ingredients. I never did forget that moment. However, I went through a period when I did a bunch of different diets, including an awful stint that relied solely on a gross processed meal-delivery program. I've had a lot of success, but I could not enjoy food anymore... the foodie in me was miserable. When I stumbled on a 'healthy living' food blog (and consequently another and another...), it really opened my eyes to see so many women that ate delicious, fresh (and sometimes LARGE!) amounts of food and were still fit and healthy! I'm inspired now to eat and enjoy foods in just the way they have always been intended to be eaten.
And I am a subscriber! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great givaway. I have a subscription to Clean Eating and love it. It would be awesome to win a subscription to Oxygen, it sounds like a great magazine, love the blog, keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteLauren

ReplyDeletei guess i'm one of a few who wants the subscription to Oxygen. :)
and i'm also a subscriber on my google reader! ~gretchen
ReplyDeletei love magazines, and i've always wanted to read clean eating :) ~gretchen
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a fitness story. I am running my first 5K in October and am slowly preparing for that. The clean eating magaizine looks wonderful. I am only now beginning to realize all of the chemicals that I have been eating for the past 26 years.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I need a subscription to both. I currently have dirty eating (hello pint of ice cream I ate tonight) and I need some workout routines (lifting the remote isn't working for me).
ReplyDeleteKarla
oooh! what an amazing giveaway! i love the clean eating mag and would love new recipe ideas since i'm moving in with my boyfriend and would love new things to cook! Thanks girly :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway!! I just subbed to Clean Eating but have never seen Oxygen, so that would be my choice!! My clean eating had just happened in the last 3 months... my weight went way up for me, and I hated it. I kept on trying new "diets", and finally knew I had to do it the right way, with a focus on healthy eating, clean eating, no crap, no fad diets!! In the last 3 months i've lost 25lbs, and hoping to lose the "last 10". I have a new perspective on life now and it feels soo good to finally be lean and healthy!!! :)
