Thanks for all the great comments about how much water you drink. Some of you really inspired me to try and drink even more!! It's funny because I'm already starting to realize how my body is now craving water when it normally wouldn't. Like this morning as I was on the treadmill I started getting super thirsty and before my drinking-more-water adventure it never bothered me if I didn't have any.
Anyways, today up til now I've had about 94 ounces of water, and will likely have a little bit more before the day is done ... and it's getting easier to drink so much. The first few days I felt like that's all I was doing all day long but now I'm finding my body really wants it!
Dinner last night was a fish medley, haha. When I was taking some fish out to defrost it, I didn't know which kind I wanted or what kind my husband would want sooo I took out a few fillets of salmon, talapia, and mahi mahi and just cooked them all up! I seasoned them all with the juice of a lemon and some pepper. We had them with a little bit of brown rice and veggies. My favorite was the salmon.
Erik and I are going to go watch a movie now and relax a little bit.
Enjoy your Friday! : )

Sorry I missed that question - I drink 40 ounces when I first wake up; 60 ounces throughout the day; and 30 more ounces in the evening.
ReplyDeleteInteresting chicken combo. I would have never thought to put cinnamon on chicken, but it looks good!
ReplyDeleteWay to go with increasing your water intake. I made this my New Year's Resolution and beleive I am up to 3 liters day. You are right, it does do wonders for your body but it also causes me to have to pee every 5 min!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the fish trio. I often end up eating a little of everything when I can't decide. (Which happens quite a bit)
Hope you have a wonderful Friday!
i totally agree on the water, i don't leave home without a HUGE bottle and a few sips every now and then add up quickly! I love your fish medley, and good job on the weights, that gets easier too :D
ReplyDeleteYour lunch combo looks really good!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy the weights more next time!
Girl, you always make the best looking food. Hope you enjoy the relaxing movie night with hubby! love ya!
ReplyDeleteGirl, that lunch combo looks great!! And, I love your fish medley, too :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your movie night...and I know how ya feel about the weights. I feel the exact same way!
Wow, 94 oz of water! That's AWESOME. Great job, you've inspired me to drink more tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLove salmon! Delicious food!!!
ReplyDeleteYour "fish medley" reminded me of the fish dinner scene from "She's Having a Baby." Ever see that? (Great movie!)
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy Friday everybody...
I have a camelbak water bottle that has totally did a number on the amount of water I drink, but I dunno if I have ever had 94 oz of water in a day! thats amazing!
ReplyDeleteyou make such creative meals! that chicken concoction actually sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteWow, that chicken combo sounds interesting but yummy. I need to step out of my shell and try that! You've inspired me to drink more water. I know my body needs it ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome water intake!! Glad the weights went better!! :)
ReplyDeleteI drink about 1 1\2 litres and then maybe 3 cups of herbal tea.
ReplyDeleteyumm that looks sooo good lesley! you give me so many ideas for myself! :D thanks
ReplyDeletei jsut started drinking a lot of water yesterday, i feel like a waterfall!! lol
What a lovely, well-rounded meal! I could eat fish and rice every day! As for water, I don't know if I have an average...I drink a lot more some days than I do others. It's great that you are concious of it (and now made us aware, too!). I have heard that if you are thirsty, you are already dehydrated. Yikes!
ReplyDeletewow, that's a lot of water! I hardly manage to drink 32oz a day. If only diet pepsi counted :)
ReplyDeleteI love salmon! It's been a while since I've had it though.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree- drinking more water was hard for me at first. Now, my body totally craves it and I don't really ever drink any other beverages (except am coffee). Great dinner. Sometimes tons of variety in dinner is exactly what you need! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeletesalmon, talapia, and mahi mahi - all at the same time! Cool! I love your chicken with apple and cinnamon too.
ReplyDeletewow! apple pie chicken! how cool! I love salmon the most, too!
ReplyDeleteoh, and you're welcome! you totally deserved the award!
Yahoo for Friday! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI drink a tooon of water - I have a 32 oz. bottle that I fill up at least 3-4 times a day, plus a glass or two at night (can we say I spend a lot of the day in the bathroom? lol). I agree, though - the more I drink it, the more I want it! It truly is addictive, but in a good way. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who has a hard time getting motivated to do weights! When I'm done, I feel great, though.
That's great you are getting in so much water!!
ReplyDeleteI missed the water question, but I drink a LOT of it. The only other beverage I consistently buy is apple juice for my dd's, and even that gets mixed with water. And I LOVE salmon!
ReplyDeletegreat quote. I have a 32 oz water bottle I try to fill up twice a day at work.
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend!
I'm trying to increase my water drinking too! Its harddd haha but that chicken bake with apples looks sooo good :)
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much water my body craves now! I can't get over how thirsty I can get if I don't drink for even just a 1/2 an hour!
ReplyDeleteAll your food looks great and those plates are really pretty!
I've just recently noticed how much water my body needs. I think it's funny when some people say that it's hard for them to drink 8 glasses a day, because I drink double that!
ReplyDeleteInteresting chicken combo. I love putting strawberries in savory things!
It is said that we are supposed to 8 glasses of water everyday.Anyway I drink up to 600ml everyday.( In school)I will try out that
ReplyDeletesalmon, talapia, and mahi mahi(just calling out a name.
Cheers!
Please tell your husband that I have become obsessed with his apple/ peanut butter dessert! What a great snack!!! Also, I made roasted veggies last night with brussel sprouts (I honestly am not sure I have ever had them) and I loved it!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having some success with your new eating/ exercise plan. Way to go!!!
Have a great weekend :-)
love the fish medley~~ And great work on drinking a lot of water and getting to like lifting weight.
ReplyDeleteNice light and well presented dishes a delight to see thanks for sharing.. :D
ReplyDeleteLove how you had a variety of fish. It looks so delciious and healthy. Way to go with the H2O.
ReplyDeleteI love that chicken, rice combo with strawberries. I'm finding I like sliced fruit on top of just about anything these days.
ReplyDeleteI missed your H2O question as well. I try to drink 2 litters a day, but often only make it to 1.5 since my water bottle is only 750 ml. I typically drink 2 a day.
All the food looked very yummy! And so nice and healthy! I laugh at the drinking water, I've had to get myself to drink more too. Every now and then I get myself a new water bottle to inspire myself to drink, haha! And then you don't have to fill a glass up so many times and you can carry it around with you everywhere! :) Sounds like you're doing great!
ReplyDeleteI was curious to why you always use Truvia, I have always used Splend but now I want to try Truvia! :)
ReplyDeleteoops, meant "Salmon".=)
ReplyDeleteI love Salon, especially the way my Dad cooks it. Your strawberries look so inviting!
