More summer lovin’ :: grilling & farmer’s market

Yay for another lovely summer weekend!!

(I have Monday off this week so thankfully, my weekend is extended ; )

As promised last week, I’ve come with more pictures so I’ll waste no more time and get on with the randomness of my past week.

Basket of Samples ::
This is a little gift basket of a few of our vending products that we recently brought to one of our favorite KC places that is interested in selling some of the products in their store.  Hopefully they like it!!A Grilling, grilling & grilling :: AA I love kabobs!AAA Stevia plant ::
We bought a stevia plant recently from an Amish vendor at a farmer’s market.  I’m excited for this! So far I’ve dropped some leaves into boiling water for my  tea but I plan to dry and freeze some of it around fall/winter time. Fun!!AAAA City Market ::
This past Saturday, Erik and I spent a day in the city with my friend, Jenn, and our first stop was City Market.B There was tons of vendors, tons of food, tons of people and abundant sunshine … perfect!BB We got a lot!  On our list of goods were:

  • Corn on the cob
  • Kohlrabi
  • Cauliflower
  • Tomatoes
  • Zucchini squash
  • Grass-fed beef
  • Chili peppers (these are for Erik! ha. He loves his food hot and I do not.  Although earlier today he put it on a burger and it was even too hot for him)
  • An aloe plant

BBB BBBB C After a few other stops, we went to Whole Foods  for lunch … I always love the Whole Foods food bar.  They were having a taco bar while we were there and it was very pleasing to my taste buds!CC CCC After eating we did a little grocery shopping, we picked up these fun coconut waters on the way out.  None of us knew which kind to get so we got one of each to try them all … cranberry grapefruit, grape berry and lemon lime. Mmm!CCCC DI have more pictures racking up on my camera already, ha … so once again, there will be more to come : )

Hope your summer is off to a wonderful start!

  8. That's so neat that you are growing your own Stevia plant! Great idea.

    I love kabobs too, but without a grill it's hard to make them :( We got one as a gift form Nick's sister, but it was broken when it was delivered! We need to get a new one. I already have my kabob sticks ready!
