Aaaaanyways ...
Hello!! I just love sitting down on a comfy couch with my laptop after cleaning the house, eating dinner, making a bunch of rice for the week, getting lunches ready for tomorrow, etc. Ahhh ...
it feels good to have everything in order before another work week begins.
Erik and I had a wonderful weekend. This past week was
pretty hectic with Erik's dad in and out of the hospital, us not really knowing what was going on, etc etc.
Erik was especially worn out from it all, emotionally and physically. His week pretty much consisted of getting up at 4:45 or 4, going to work, going to the hospital or his dad's after work, coming home, eating dinner, then going to bed, repeat. Then he was scheduled to work this Saturday buuuuut our friend Delmar was
nice enough to work for him.
THANK YOU, DELMAR!!! There is a loaf of banana walnut chocolate bread in the oven for Delmar right now
: ) Anyways, it was a MUCH needed break for Erik.
So, Saturday evening we had a date and went to KC. We were going to go to the Raw Bliss Fest, as I talked about in my
previous post, buuuut we didn't have time. So instead, we went to
KC Juice. I love that place!

They even had
wheat grass for sale (sorry I didn't get a better picture, but you can see it on the counter to the left). And like a dummy, I didn't think to get wheat grass in my smoothie until
after I had ordered it.

After KC Juice, we were off to see
Food, Inc. Wow, that's pretty much a whole 'nother post in itself but it was
extremely informative and a really good film! (More to come later). Then we went to
Whole Foods to get some eats ... and what's better place to eat than Whole Foods especially after watching Food, Inc?? (But as
Ashley posted out via Twitter,
what better place is there to eat than Whole Foods anytime, not just after Food, Inc?
Ha, good point, Ashley ; )
When eating at Whole Foods, I always literally want everything, so I tend to get a little bit of everything I do get and I tend to pile my plate pretty full ... hey, I don't get to eat there very often, who could blame a girl??
While inside of Whole Foods, there was an Amazing Grass spotting! Ha, I was pretty excited about that!! (excuse their mess ... they probably couldn't help it because everyone was busy wanting some Amazing Grass;)
Then on the way home we snacked on some
Dagoba organic dark chocolate.
74% cacao with chilies and cacao nibs in it (the nibs were really small).
It was pretty tasty. I'm a big fan of dark chocolate. I would have preferred regular 74% (or more) cacao, but
Erik was really wanting those chilies. Ha, and since I'm such a good wife I obliged
; ) Anyways, that was our
very refreshing Saturday (all thanks to Delmar working for Erik ... thanks again, again, Delmar! ; ) More to come about Food, Inc later as well as my Nature's Path products review.
So how was your weekend?? Can anyone else hardly believe there's only one more week of July left?? Crazy!
